Do we need an "After the Rallye" section?

Darin McGrew 11:46, 17 August 2007 (PDT)

Yeah, that's probably a good idea. Lessee... Posting results, perhaps a brief comment on the "don't look at the scoresheets again" controversy, removing markers, come to the next board meeting to debrief. What am I missing?

Needs a section about preparing for the rallye briefing. (I don't like the phrase "rallye school" as people don't want to "go to school".) Bob gave me an outline of hints (I don't have time to insert here now). It needs to include a map, show how to record CMs and bring SUPP/SI into effect, and give away at least one gimmick that isn't trivial already.

I also learned (the hard way) that the RM phone needs to be answered by someone other than the one giving the briefing, since the briefing occurs during the rallye (particularly for upper division). Dean 09:18, 18 October 2007 (PDT)

Now that I've updated the After the Rallye section, I think we need to either merge this doc with the timeline (and mark advice typographically) or strip everything that isn't advice from this page and have it refer to the Gimmick Rallye Timeline.

The Post Results section should be more explicit about inviting rallyists to trc-events:

You generate a security notification message to those who are already subscribed, which freaks some people out.

If you want to do bulk invites, just send the list to Steve, one address per line, and he'll do them through the admin interface, which doesn't generate warnings.
